Accreditation

Wor-Wic is a state-approved two-year college. It is accredited by the Middle States Com mission on Higher Education, 3624 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19104, (267) 284-5000. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Wor-Wic’s emergency medical services program is accredited by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS). The hotel-motel-restaurant management culinary arts options are accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation’s Accrediting Commission. Wor-Wic’s nursing programs are approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing. The occupational therapy assistant program has applied for accreditation and has been granted candidacy status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Ln., Ste. 200, Bethesda, MD 20814-3449, (301) 652-AOTA, www.acoteonline.org. The radiologic technology program is nationally accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
