Formal training in truck driving methods, regulations, and safety is an extremely reliable way to learn
the specialized skills necessary to be a competent, knowledgeable, and safe truck driver. Wor-Wic Community
College is offering high quality training that is designed to produce skilled drivers for the trucking
and transportation industry on the Lower Shore of Maryland. The goal of these courses is to produce
drivers with a high level of competence with regard to their truck driving skills; knowledge of safety,
procedures, rules, and regulations; inspection techniques; and a level of confidence that should enable
them to obtain successful long-term employment. Schedules, room assignments, and holiday information
will be distributed at orientation.
