About the Courses

Why take a Continuing Education, non-credit course?
Upgrade and update your skills, develop new skills, stimulate your mind, or enrich your understanding about a wide range of topics.
Who may attend a Continuing Education course?
Anyone 16 years of age or older; note—some courses may have prerequisites.
What types of courses do you have?
A wide variety. Some are as short as 5 hours or up to 4 months; most are 4 to 6 sessions.
When and how often are these courses offered?
Days, evenings, and weekends; major terms begin in September, January, and April. Many courses start during other months and are repeated throughout the year.
What if I don't see the course I’m looking for?
Call us! Your course may be offered later in the year or we can create new courses based on your needs and feedback.

Registration and Confirmations

How do I register?
Easy—by mail, FAX, or walk-in. Registration forms are available on the Registration Information web page.
Will I get a confirmation?
No, you are automatically registered when we receive your registration form and payment. We contact you only if your course is filled or canceled.

Tests, Textbooks, and Attendance

Do I have to take tests?
No, for most courses; yes, primarily for licensure/certification courses.
Do I need a textbook? If so, where do I get it?
Sometimes. If a text is required, you will see "Text Code" in the course information. See the Class Schedules information for the bookstore location and "Text Code" details.
Is there an attendance requirement?
Yes, in order to qualify for a document of recognition; specific requirements vary from course to course.

About Refunds, Billing, and Financial Aid

Is there financial assistance?
There may be assistance or payment options available if you qualify; please contact the Continuing Education office for more information.
Can you bill my company?
Yes, include a purchase order or letter of authorization on company letterhead with your registration form; the regular refund policy applies to all billings.
