Browsers use helper applications to help them display Web documents. Everything listed below is available for free.

To view PDF files, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

To view Excel files (.xls or .xlsx), you need either Micorosft Excel or the latest Excel Viewer.

To view PowerPoint files (.ppt or .pptx), you need either Micorosft PowerPoint or the latest PowerPoint Viewer.

To view Word files (.doc or .docx), you need either Micorosft Word or the latest Word Viewer.

To view Flash animations and interactive content, you need the Adobe Flash Player.

To view QuickTime video, you need the Apple QuickTime Player.

To experience Real streaming video and audio, you need RealPlayer.
