William Hathaway is the author of eight poetry collections, the most recent being Promeneur Solitaire (Chester Creek Press, ©2005) and Sightseer (Canio’s Editions, ©2000). He earned his BA from the University of Montana under the mentorship of Richard Hugo and earned his MFA from the prestigious Iowa Writers’ Workshops. For over three decades he taught English at Cornell University, Louisiana State University, Union College, and Southampton College, among others. His most recent poems have appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Poetry, Green Mountains Review, Conte and Per Contra. He resides in rural Maine with his wife. A book sale and signing will follow the event, which is sponsored by the Arts Club.
