Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Forty-one Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a recent induction ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Youn Bang, Mandy Blaher, Andrew Church, Tracey Donalds, Robert Evelyn, Wendy Godwin, Amanda Hailey, Marcin Lewandowski, Tyler Matthews, Michelle Miller, Bryan Mullins, Jerry Plotnick, Desiree Richardson, Carrie Smith, Denise Tweedale and Nicole White of Salisbury, Valerie Edwards and Ashley Lewis of Delmar, Md., Jennifer Webster of Hebron, Sean Ranneberger of Willards, Richard Cordara, Christopher Creager, Maria Huesca, Christina Kappes and Karen Lewis of Berlin, Michael Forrest of Bishopville, Sviatlana Rakutsis and Kristina Sechrest of Ocean City, Lauren Howard of Pocomoke City, Ashley Davis of Snow Hill, Heather Clark of Stockton, Sherre Bartlett of Whaleyville, David Anderson of Chance, Katelyn Blackburn and Kelly Goldsborough of Crisfield, Deborah Barkley and Sherrie Peterson of Eden, Paula Green of Marion, Kerri Adams of Princess Anne, Mary Savage of Westover and Lesley Williams of Cambridge.

Advisors of the chapter include Marie B. Calafiura, instructor of business, Colleen C. Dallam, assistant professor of history, Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Brenda Mister, assistant professor of nursing, and Terry Thompson, instructor of biological science.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
