Register for Credit Classes at Wor-Wic
April 03, 2006

Area residents can register April 10-21 for credit classes being offered this summer and fall at Wor-Wic Community College.

Registration is offered Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Wor-Wic’s campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Wor-Wic’s first summer session begins May 15. The second summer session begins July 5. Fourteen-week fall semester classes begin Sept. 6. New eight-week classes being offered this fall begin Aug. 19 and Oct. 18.

Academic counseling is available free to anyone interested in attending college who is unsure about how to apply or undecided about a program of study.

Diagnostic assessments, which cover reading comprehension, English usage and mathematics, are also offered free to anyone interested in applying to Wor-Wic. The assessments are administered by appointment at Wor-Wic’s campus during the day and in the evening and at the college’s Berlin-Ocean City Instructional Center in Berlin during the day.

The results of the assessments are used for class placement and they do not affect a student’s acceptance into the college. Admission to Wor-Wic is open to anyone 16 years old or older who has graduated from or left elementary or secondary school and has the ability to benefit from instruction.
