Cotton Club Java, a free African-American history month celebration, will be held on Monday, March 15, at 7 p.m., in Room 103 of the Workforce Development Center at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The free event will include literary readings by students, as well as a keynote poetry reading by Reginald Harris, author of “10 Tongues.”

Harris, a help desk and training manager at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, is a recipient of Individual Artist awards for poetry and fiction from the Maryland State Arts Council. His poetry, fiction, reviews and articles have appeared in numerous journals and Web sites.

The event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s cultural diversity committee.
