Truck driver career fair to be held April 30
March 31, 2010

Current truck drivers, trucking companies and those interested in beginning a career as a truck driver are invited to attend a free commercial truck driver career fair that is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College on Friday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.

Area trucking companies will recruit new and experienced drivers and provide information about local truck driving career opportunities.

Representatives from Wor-Wic will be on hand to discuss upcoming Class A and B truck driver training that begins June 7. Drivers who currently have a Class B CDL license and are interested in upgrading to a Class A CDL license can also learn about individual training that is available to help them learn the skills necessary to take the state examination.

Free booth space is available for companies interested in recruiting or networking at the fair.

Interested individuals and companies can call (410) 334-2815 to register or obtain additional information.
