Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Thirty-two Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during an induction ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Timothy Dickson, Nathan Dorman, Ruth Gaudreau, Melissa Harvey, Frances Hitchcock, Sarah Kacsuta, Kathy Killmon, Teresa Lewis, Tanya Meeker, Christine Nickerson, Deanne Partyka, Melissa Rickey, Michelle Rossignol, Amy Scott, Dong Shin, Barbara Shipley, Annette Spence and Erin Twilley of Salisbury, Nora Salyers of Delmar, Md., Kelley Merritt of Pittsville, April Webster of Powellville, Regina Handy, Christina Henry and Nathaniel Valle of Berlin, Dana Cody of Snow Hill, Rachel Horseman of Chance, Thomas Oakley of Crisfield, Alicia Bonneville of Eden, Frances Hall and James Russell of Princess Anne, Meagen Walsh of Frankford, Del., and Mary Maloney of New Church, Va.

Advisors of the chapter include Marie B. Calafiura, instructor of business, Dr. Colleen C. Dallam, human services department head and associate professor of history, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Brenda J. Mister, associate professor of nursing, and Terry Thompson, assistant professor of biological science.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
