Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Fifty-two Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Cassandra Bello, Jonathan Bounds, Jennifer Callaway, Natalie Changlin, Ryan Cordrey, Christine Davis, Alexandra Hooker, Robert Kammerzell, Jill Kenney, Gloria Kim, Cynthia Krick, Jessica Lindner, Stacey Loomis, David Mattson, Lauren Meeks, Lisa Miller, Hillary Pullen, Mary Rider, Daniel Sanchez, Heather Shellenberger, Reed Shelton, Jeremi Sterling, Alex Tingle, Meg Tyndall and Joseph Van Ess of Salisbury, Blair Crockett, Kiona Horsey, Nancy Maner and Laura Zidanic of Delmar, Md., Allen Holochwost, Angela Miller and Hunter Wellington-Voisine of Parsonsburg, Ashley Barthman and Donald Quackenbush of Pittsville, Laura Charlton, Dan Norris, Rachel Ropke and Hailey Scott of Berlin, Todd Garrett of Bishopville, Christine Waggoner of Newark, Brittney Almond of Ocean City, Thad Burkhead, Jaime Julian and Taren Nance of Pocomoke City, Jennifer Elliott of Snow Hill, Adam Hawley and Richard Taylor of Princess Anne, Rebecca Corbin and Catherine Franklin of Crisfield, Kortney Davis of Westover, Sharon Dyke of Dagsboro, Del., and Anna Pruitt-Parks of Tangier, Va.

Advisors of the chapter include Lynn M. Derickson, assistant professor of nursing, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Terry Thompson, associate professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, instructor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, associate professor of nursing.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
