Adobe Courses Offered in March

Anyone interested in learning more about using Adobe software products for Web page design, desktop publishing, and digital imaging can benefit by taking courses being offered in March by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Learn how to view, edit and manage digital photos and do post-production work using a step-by-step workflow process by taking “Adobe Lightroom: Organizing and Developing Digital Images,” which is being offered on Tuesdays, March 6-27, from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. Basic computer skills, an introductory graphics course, Windows file management course or equivalent knowledge is required to take this course. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or other image editing software is helpful. This course satisfies one of the elective requirements for the continuing education certificate in computer graphics and desktop publishing.

Learn how to create and produce newsletters, brochures, multi-page magazines and catalog layouts by taking “Adobe InDesign -- Introduction,” which is being offered on Wednesdays, March 7-28, from 3 to 6 p.m. Experience with Windows, graphics and desktop publishing is required to take this course. This course satisfies one of the elective requirements for the continuing education certificate in computer graphics and desktop publishing.

Learn to create Web animation, movie clips, animation tweens, symbols, and Frames and Keyframes by taking “Adobe Flash: Introduction,” which is being offered on Mondays, March 12 through April 2, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Solid experience working with Windows and file management, designing graphics and Web design concepts is required to take this course. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, Web page development and scripting is helpful. This course satisfies one of the core requirements for the continuing education certificate in website design.
