Manufacturing Courses Offered in January

Learn about drafting, electronic controls, materials, manufacturing processes and quality management by taking manufacturing courses being offered this January at Wor-Wic Community College on the college campus at the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

“Computer-Aided Drafting I” is designed to help students learn the fundamentals of computer-aided drafting through the use of AutoCAD. The class will meet on Wednesdays, Jan. 18 through April 26, from 5-10:15 p.m.

Learn about electronic controls of process and mechanical devices, transducers, data acquisition systems, programmable logic controllers and motors by taking “Industrial Controls,” which is being offered on Thursdays, Jan. 19 through April 27, from 6-10:15 p.m.

“Quality Management and Auditing” is a new course that can help students learn about the elements of a quality system and the purpose of a quality audit. The class will meet on Thursdays, Jan. 19 through April 27, from 5-10:15 p.m.

Learn the principles of orthographic, oblique and isometric projections, dimensioning, lettering, and sectional and auxiliary views by taking “Technical Drafting,” which is being offered on Mondays, Jan. 23 through May 1, from 5:30-8:45 p.m.

“Manufacturing Materials and Processes” is a new course that covers the fundamental properties, structure and nature of materials for manufacturing. The class will meet on Mondays, Jan. 23 through May 1, from 5-10:15 p.m.
