Jail and Correctional Officers Graduate

Twenty-nine jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Caroline and Talbot counties graduated in the 85th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Warden LaMonte E. Cooke of the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.

Donald Rollyson Jr., assistant director of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy, presided at the ceremony. Awards of excellence were presented by agency representatives.

Graduates included Beverly W. Corbin, Brian J. Elliott and William C. Preneta Jr. of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, Heath A. Cowger, Garry A. Howell and Lynne P. Massey of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center, John B. Belleville, Barry G. Bruno, Shirl L. Carmine, Bruce M. Dashiell III, Brian K. Green, Aneetra L. Hankerson, Stacy A. Huffman, Chad M. Krebs, Evan Lane, Karen Y. Lewis, Jean L. Mills-Young, Patricia L. Muir, Todd R. Peoples, TaShina Y. Potter, James M. Reich, Brian T. Smith, Frank D. Stephenson, Olin J. Tarr III, Cynthia M. Taylor and Dominick A. Timmons of the Eastern Correctional Institution, Ernest J. Salmons III of the Caroline County Jail and Detention Center, Michael R. Warfield of the Dorchester County Detention Center and Jeffrey S. Mayer of the Talbot County Detention Center.
