Andrew W. Booth Named to Wor-Wic Board of Trustees

Gov. Robert Ehrlich recently appointed Andrew W. Booth of Salisbury to the board of trustees at Wor-Wic Community College.

Booth is a principal engineer at Andrew W. Booth & Associates Inc., an architectural and engineering firm in Salisbury that he founded in 1979.

In college, Booth majored in structural engineering, earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Maryland at College Park. Booth is a professional engineer (P.E.), and is registered in 12 states and the District of Columbia.

Booth’s wife, Marilyn, returned to Wor-Wic to upgrade her computer skills after their children graduated from high school. She was a valedictorian at Wor-Wic commencement exercises in 1986, when she obtained her associate degree in computer studies.

The Booths have two grown children, Catherine Booth Heilman, a family practice physician in York, Pa., and Richard Booth, assistant chief engineer with Cummins Diesel in Columbus, Ind. They have four grandchildren.
