Supervision Courses Offerred in October

Managers and supervisors can learn to strengthen communication skills, motivate employees and improve productivity by taking supervision courses being offered by the continuing education office at Wor-Wic Community College.

Learn organizational skills in order to gain control over both planned and unexpected daily events by taking “Managing Multiple Priorities and Conflicting Demands,” which is being offered on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce in Salisbury.

Supervisors can learn how to conduct performance appraisals, reinforce positive performance characteristics and correct deficiencies by taking “Improving Employee Performance,” which is being offered on Friday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Discover ways to inspire and lead employees by taking a one-day seminar called “Motivation: Inspiring and Energizing Your Work Team,” which is being offered on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus.

Develop an understanding of the different ways people communicate and learn how to make the most of these differences in the workplace by taking “Communication in the Workplace,” which is being offered on Friday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Wor-Wic’s campus.

Supervisors can learn to apply the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) approach to identify and eliminate failures that prevent a business from achieving continuous improvement by taking “Productivity Improvement: Root Cause Failure Analysis,” which is being offered on Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 25 and 27, from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m., at the campus.
