Jail and Correctional Officers Graduate

Forty-three jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Somerset, Caroline, Talbot and Queen Anne’s counties graduated in the 66th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Captain Ruth Colbourne of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections.

James M. Beatty Sr., director of criminal justice at Wor-Wic, presided at the ceremony. Awards of excellence were presented by agency representatives.

Graduates included Richard Alberto, Michael A. Petyo, Kenneth M. Rodgers and Shannon L. Stinton of the Caroline County Jail and Detention Center, William W. Basham, Eva M. Duley and John C. Schroyer Jr. of the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center, Christa H. Sard of the Talbot County Detention Center, Tashia L. Ayres, Frederick E. Brooks, Steve A. Gustus, Kimberly D. Hankerson and Kristen M. Sharp of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, and Grayling T. Anderson Jr., Tammy L. Ayres, Ronald Beattie, Timothy L. Brewington, Cynthia L. Dodson, Joyce J. Durham, Paul A. Dyson Jr., Chris W. Fleming, Kim G. Hardy, Larry R. Hauf Jr., Latisha C. Hawkins, Glen R. Hill, Ira S. Holland III, Nakeya Holland, Walter S. Holmes II, Larry C. Jackson, Tiana R.
