Supervision Courses Begin May 6

Managers and supervisors can strengthen interpersonal skills, build confidence and network by taking supervision courses being offered this May by the continuing education office at Wor-Wic Community College.

“The Supervisor’s Role in Resolving Conflict” focuses on recognizing conflict, utilizing mediation styles, when and how to get involved, and achieving collaboration and productivity. The class will meet on Friday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce.

Discover ways to inspire and lead employees by taking a new seminar called “Motivation: Inspiring and Energizing Your Work Team,” which is being offered on Friday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

“How to Get Promoted” is a new seminar that is designed to help students learn ways to increase their likelihood of a promotion. The class will meet on Friday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus.

Gain a better understanding of power planning and discover how to achieve immediate, intermediate and long-range goals by taking a new seminar called “ Time Management: Maximize Your Effectiveness.” The class will meet on Thursday, May 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the college campus.

“Building Collaboration and Teamwork” is designed to help managers and supervisors understand how to lead a team to improve cooperation, accountability and interdependence. The class will meet on Thursday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus.
