Wor-Wic Founder's Day Celebration is April 20

The public is invited to a 30th anniversary Founder’s Day celebration at Wor-Wic Community College on Wednesday, April 20, at 2 p.m.

The program will be held in Guerrieri Hall at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Remarks will be given by representatives from the college’s board of trustees, the Wicomico County Council, the Worcester County Commissioners and the Eastern Shore Delegation.

Wor-Wic’s founding president, Dr. Arnold Maner, will give the keynote address, followed by a series of alumni speakers. Matt Maciarello, class of 1994, Julia Foxwell, class of 1996, Ed Lashley, class of 2001, Micki D’Amico, class of 1993, and Kim Scott, class of 1998, will talk about how Wor-Wic has changed their lives.

Liesel Booker, president of the student government association, and Diana Mills, president of Wor-Wic’s Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, will present a 2005 time capsule, and the Wor-Wic chorus will perform the Wor-Wic alma mater.

A reception will follow in the lobby of Guerrieri Hall.
