Landscaping Courses Begin April 19

Contractors, homeowners and anyone interested in employment in the landscape design industry can learn about landscaping design, maintenance and water management by taking continuing education courses that are being offered this April by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

A new course called “Water Management in Landscaping: Irrigation, Drainage and Site Plans” will cover auditing residential and commercial irrigation systems, identifying and resolving drainage challenges and creating an irrigation schedule. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 19 through May 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Holly Center in Salisbury.

“Landscape Design and Maintenance” will cover design fundamentals, plant and material selection, and how to create and implement a landscape plan. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 19 through May 12, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at Parkside High School in Salisbury.
