Photography and Paint Shop Pro Courses Begin April 12

Wor-Wic Community College is offering Paint Shop Pro as well as digital and 35mm photography continuing education courses in traditional classroom and online formats in April.

Learn how to rotate, crop, enhance and resize digital images by taking “Paint Shop Pro,” which is being offered at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 12-21, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

“Discover Digital Photography: Correcting and Enhancing Your Photos” is designed to help students learn about digital photography equipment and software and how to produce professional images. The course is being offered at the college campus in Salisbury on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 28 through May 5, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, April 30, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. This course includes photo critiques and a photo shoot field trip. Digital cameras will be provided to groups of students for classroom projects.

Photographers can improve their digital and 35mm travel photography techniques to obtain better travel photographs with digital and 35mm single-lens reflex cameras by taking “Travel and Location Photography: People, Places and Things,” which is being offered on Tuesdays, April 19 through May 31, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at Parkside High School in Salisbury.

Online courses being offered in April include “Digital Photography OUTPUT!,” “Discover Digital Photography,” “Mastering Digital Photography: Photographing People,” Photoshop Elements for the Digital Photographer” and “Secrets of Better Photography.” Each course begins on Wednesday, April 20, and can be completed in six weeks.
