Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Forty Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a recent induction ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Matthew Adkins, Julia Bridges, April Ellis, Colby Foxwell, Sandra Giustozzi, Elizabeth Griffith, Heather Gross, Tammy Holdren, Ashley Holland, Ye Kim, Paul Klaverweiden, Veronica Mull, Tamyra Nelson, Cameron Royal, Chad Shellenberger, Brooke Smith and Jennifer Williams of Salisbury, Robert Horseman Jr. and Howard Travers Jr. of Fruitland, Kelley Adkins and Kathleen Sprague of Hebron, Stephanie Klaverweiden of Pittsville, Jean Baynard of Sharptown, Ann Marie Fridley, Kimberly Jones and Alysson Smith of Willards, Gregory Groves, Jennifer Higgins, Stacie Shakra, Bogdan Simescu, Laura Small and D. Scott Wainwright Jr. of Berlin, Lauren MaGee of Bishopville, Valiantsina Laurushchyk of Ocean City, Caroline Humphreys and Kathy Thompson of Pocomoke City, Michael Rippetoe of Stockton, Kenneth Wise of Crisfield, Shelley Wilson of Eden and Melissa Gaard of Princess Anne.

Advisors of the chapter include Marie B. Calafiura, instructor of business, Colleen C. Dallam, assistant professor of history, Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Lucille A. Rudnick, professor of nursing, and Terry Thompson, instructor of biology.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America's two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
