Online Entrepreneurial Courses Being March 16

Online business planning and entrepreneurial courses, which are being offered this March by Wor-Wic Community College, focus on home-based businesses, consulting, publishing and retirement.

“Business Planning for the Retired” is designed to help retired individuals thinking of starting their own business to generate and research business ideas, develop a business plan, and market and implement the plan.

Developing a vision and mission statement, becoming customer-centric and locating sources of funding are some of the topics covered in “Creating a Successful Business Plan.”

”Publish It Yourself: How to Start and Operate Your Own Publishing Business” is designed help individuals learn more about how to price, copyright, publicize and distribute various types of literature.

Prospective or current home business owners can learn to attract customers, make sales, maintain records and separate work and family issues by taking “Start and Operate Your Own Home-Based Business.”

“Start Your Own Consulting Practice” is designed to help individuals interested in consulting to determine an area of expertise, create and operate a firm, determine services, develop contracts, obtain customers and locate federal, state and local resources of assistance.

Each course begins on Wednesday, March 16, and can be completed in six weeks.
