Baker Joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Ruth E. Baker of Salisbury as the new senior director of community and continuing education.

Prior to joining Wor-Wic, she was the managing director of BEACON (Business, Economic and Community Outreach Network) at Salisbury University (SU).

Baker received her bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and her master’s degree in human services, housing and community development from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.

She and her husband, Maarten Pereboom, professor and chair of the history department at SU, have two sons, Max, 11, and Ben, 8.
