Industry, Trades and Manufacturing Courses Begin Oct. 10

Learn lead paint abatement and maintenance skills, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance by taking continuing education industry, trades and manufacturing courses being offered this fall by Wor-Wic Community College at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Gain an understanding of GD&T, a three-dimensional international engineering language used to accurately describe the features of mechanical drawings, by taking “GD&T - Introduction,” which is being offered on Friday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Home and rental property contractors and workers can gain a better understanding of the requirements of the Maryland lead and rental property regulations of House Bill 760 by taking lead paint abatement training courses. “Lead Paint Abatement Worker Training” is being offered on Monday, Oct. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. “Lead Paint Maintenance and Repainting Supervisor Training” is being offered on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27 and 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Gain an understanding of the latest OSHA standards for electricity, lockout and confined space entry by taking “All-In-One OSHA Compliance,” which is being offered on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
