Computer Info Night Scheduled for Aug. 24

Wor-Wic Community College is offering a free computer information night for anyone interested in learning more about degree, transfer and career opportunities in the computer field.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 6 p.m., in Room 309 of the Academic and Administrative Building at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Instructors from the technology department will be on hand to answer questions about the college’s computer science transfer program, and associate degree programs in hardware and help desk technology, and programming and Internet technology, as well as computer hardware technician, computer software technician and help desk certificate programs. Information will also be presented on Wor-Wic’s new wireless communications technology associate degree program.

Attendees will have an opportunity to review course material, textbooks and syllabi. Anyone interested in online classes can sit in on a sample course to see firsthand what it is like.
