Free e-Business and Web Solutions Seminar Scheduled

A free e-business and Web solutions seminar is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m., in Room 111 of the Academic and Administrative Building at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The seminar is designed to help established or prospective business owners determine what skills and training they need to prepare for online business options and e-commerce.

Topics to be covered during the seminar include defining the buzzwords, new and changing customer expectations, evolving from a brick and mortar business, costs versus benefits and examples of business-to-consumer models.

Community and continuing education administrators and faculty will be available to discuss contract training and fall courses being offered at Wor-Wic. Non-credit e-business and Web page design and management courses being offered in traditional or online formats this fall include “Web Page Solutions for the Small Business,” “Webmaster Foundations: Internet, Networking, Security and E-commerce Basics,” “Web Languages,” and “Buying and Selling on eBay.”

Other related topics include cascading style sheets, digital tools, graphics and digital imaging, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, and Webmaster fundamentals and site design. “Achieving Top Search Engine Positions,” “Managing Technology” and “Managing Technical Professionals” are online management courses also being offered.
