Children's Theater to be Held Sept. 16 & 17
August 31, 2006

Parents and their children are invited to see a performance of "East of the Sun and West of the Moon," a play based on a Norwegian tale. Performances will be held at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17, in Guerrieri Hall on the campus of Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

In the production, the Troll Queen has changed a prince into a fierce white bear, who becomes befriended by a young girl. Because the girl threatens the queen's magic, the queen sends two of her henchmen to imprison the bear. To save the prince, the girl seeks the help of the Mother of the Winds.

Tickets are $5 for children 10 years old and under and $8 for anyone 11 years old or older. Tickets are available in Room 326 of the Academic and Administrative Building at Wor-Wic. Proceeds benefit the honors program at Wor-Wic.
