Supervision and Leadership Courses Begin Oct.19

New supervision, leadership and professional development courses are being offered by the office of community and continuing education at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Solving problems completely the first time improves productivity in any type of business. Learn systematic approaches to identify and eliminate failures that are essential for a proactive solution by taking "Problem Solving Techniques for Improved Productivity," which is being held on Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 19 and 21, from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m.

Learn about how ethical responsibilities determine appropriate workplace behaviors, and develop personal ethical behaviors that will set a positive example for others, by taking "Ethics and Integrity in the Workplace," which is being offered on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Excessive amounts of stress can interfere with employee morale, productivity and health. Learn to identify the causes and symptoms of stress, evaluate and establish priorities, allocate time and energy, and reduce and cope with stress by taking "Stress Reduction for Supervisors and Managers," which is being offered on Friday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
