New General Studies Certificate Offered
October 29, 2004

Wor-Wic Community College will be expanding its general studies program this spring by offering a new certificate of proficiency.

The certificate provides a liberal arts background for students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university after one year at Wor-Wic. To earn the certificate, students must complete 30 credit hours, including English composition and a variety of electives in mathematics, arts and humanities, social and behavioral science, or biological and physical science. Graduates can transfer to a four-year college or university at the sophomore level.

The college also offers an associate degree in general studies. This program requires 60 hours of liberal arts courses, and graduates can transfer to a four-year college or university at the junior level.
