Online Business Administration Courses Begin Nov. 10

Online business administration courses in supervision and management, human resources, employment law and technical professional management are being offered this fall by Wor-Wic Community College.

Learn about effective hiring, evaluation and termination procedures, types of employee benefits, methods to resolve disputes, discrimination and union laws and workplace safety rules by taking “Employment Law Fundamentals.”

“Fundamentals of Supervision and Management I & II” courses are designed to help new supervisors and managers become more effective and efficient leaders. The first course focuses on the skills needed to empower and motivate employees, delegate responsibility, manage time, solve problems and resolve conflicts. The second course concentrates on developing interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal communication, and understanding different personality traits, including emotional intelligence, conscientiousness, agreeableness and neuroticism.

Develop the necessary leadership skills to understand, attract, retain and motivate the newest generation of technical professionals by taking “Managing Technical Professionals.”

“Understanding the Human Resources Function” is designed to prepare managers and business owners who do not have experience in human relations to handle basic human resource functions, including finding, hiring and retaining employees. This course also includes respecting employee rights, employment laws, policy making and benefits programs.

Each course begins on Wednesday, Nov. 10, and can be completed in six weeks.
