Travel Photography Course Begins Jan. 18

Develop skills for photographing people, landscapes and animals by taking “Travel and Location Photography: People, Places and Things,” which is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College at Parkside High School in Salisbury. The class will meet on Tuesdays, Jan. 18 through March 1, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

An introductory photography course, working knowledge of camera operations and exposure techniques, a 35 mm single lens reflex or digital camera with a separate flash unit are needed for this course.

The course will be taught by Milt Savage of Salisbury, who has more than 20 years of experience in photojournalism and communication arts. He has studied at the U.S. Naval School of Photography in Pensacola, Fla., the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y., and Salisbury University. Savage has also been a freelance photographer for the Navy Broadcasting Service, U.S. Navy, Associated Press, Washington Post and Daily Times.
