Wor-Wic students inducted into PTK

Thirty-eight Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a recent induction ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Dianna Aguirre, Joy Andrews-Hooker, Faith Bissonnette, Liesel Booker, Donovan Boyle, Charles Davis Jr., Daniel Fitzmaurice, Ali Griffin, Stacey Hill, Heather Hires, Wendy Long, James Pilchard, Cynthia Plaskon, Kimberly Tyree, Christina Vargas-Smith and Princess Perry of Salisbury, Melissa Hovatter and Puller Adkins of Delmar, Md., Dana-Jean Pelland and Sarah Mann of Fruitland, Natalie Brown of Hebron, Leslie Bradley, Linda Keplinger and Joseph Price of Sharptown, Meghan Bailey of Pittsville, Brian Polk of Quantico, Alicyn Beeman, Rachel Buser, Zachary John, Shelli McGill, Daniel Stilwell and Janice Whaley of Berlin, Tatsiana Douhach of Ocean City, Brenda Shenton of Snow Hill, and Angela Burnett, Jerrod Mister, Deborah Nelson and Mary Taylor of Crisfield.

Advisors of the chapter include Marie B. Calafiura, instructor of business, Colleen C. Dallam, assistant professor of history, Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Lucille A. Rudnick, professor of nursing, and Terry Thompson, instructor of biology.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America's two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
