Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Forty-six Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Reni Butler, Daniel Caton, Tonya Davis, Matthew Eversman, Priscilla Fauth, Tamara Fitchett, Lori Gibb, Claire Malpass, Lauren Merrell, Richard Pearce, Jamie Pruitt, Casey Russell, Kelly Sloniger, Cheryl Smoot, Timothy Taylor, Lauren Walker, John Walker and Angelina Yocca of Salisbury, Elizabeth Magnauck and Dara Parsons of Delmar, Md., Tia Cropper and Melissa Hicks of Fruitland, Barbara Lemon of Mardela Springs, Brenda Twining and Cindy Weaver of Parsonsburg, Kristen Marquez of Willards, Amanda Berkebile, Samantha Curry, Heather Kelley, Jason Knapp, Victoria Lathbury, Karina Pippin, Christine Ricks and Matthew Schiftic of Berlin, Volha Butar, Lauren Verbich and Kelly Waldner of Ocean City, Karen Gray of Snow Hill, Casey Thornton of Stockton, Sarah Dize, Patrice Maddox and Kimberly Sterling of Crisfield, Amber Swann of Ewell, Bethany Blackburn of Marion Station, Brandy Inkrote of Westover and Natalie Whealton of Chincoteague,Va.

Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Colleen C. Dallam, human services department head and associate professor of history, Lynn M. Derickson, instructor of nursing, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Brenda J. Mister, associate professor of nursing, and Terry Thompson, assistant professor of biological science.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
