Computer Information Sessions to be Held Jan. 11-13
December 08, 2006

The continuing education office at Wor-Wic Community College is offering free computer information sessions in Salisbury and Berlin, to help prospective students determine what courses or sequence of courses would best meet their needs.

The Salisbury sessions will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and Friday, Jan. 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Room 105 of Henson Hall at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road. The Berlin session will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, at the college’s Berlin-Ocean City Instructional Center.

Continuing education administrators and faculty members will be available to help those new to computers determine what courses to take first, as well as helping more advanced users determine how to upgrade their existing skills.

Non-credit computer courses are being offered this winter in computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), graphics and digital imaging, Internet, personal computer hardware, networking and security, QuickBooks and Web page design. Microsoft courses include Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Windows. More than 200 online continuing education courses are being offered for those interested in improving their skills but do not have the time to attend a traditional class.

On-site registration will be available during all sessions. To reserve a seat, call (410) 334-2815.
