Financial Security Course for Seniors Begins Oct. 6

Current retirees or anyone planning to retire within the next two years can benefit from taking “Maintaining a Financially Secure Retirement,” which is being offered by the community and continuing education office at Wor-Wic Community College.

The course will cover income, reverse mortgages, Medicare and Medicaid, social security, retirement plan distributions and taxes. Estate planning, beneficiary designations and provisions for surviving spouses will also be addressed.

The class will meet on Fridays, Oct. 6-27, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the college’s Berlin-Ocean City Instructional Center in Berlin.
