Group Child Care Course Begins March 15

Learn to work with school-age children in a child care setting by taking “School-Age Group Child Care,” an eight-week course being offered by Wor-Wic Community College, which can be taken for college credit or as a non-credit course. The class will meet on Thursdays, March 15 through April 26, from 5:30 to 10:40 p.m., and on Saturday, May 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The course will cover the design and implementation of age-appropriate activities and routines for children from age five through eight, including methods of effective communication, classroom management and program planning.
