Registration for Summer and Fall Classes at Wor-Wic Begins April 2

Area residents can register April 2-20 for credit classes credit classes being offered this summer and fall at Wor-Wic Community College.

Registration is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

This summer, Wor-Wic is offering a new 10-week session of online credit classes that begin on June 1 and end on Aug. 10. Classes include “Fundamentals of English I,” “Human Growth and Development,” “Nutrition,” “Principles of Macroeconomics” and “Studies in Literature II,” as well as introductory classes in business, computer technology and information systems.

Two six and a half week sessions are also being offered this summer, beginning May 14 and July 2.

The 14-week fall semester begins Sept. 5, and two eight-week fall sessions begin Aug. 18 and Oct. 17.

The college is offering more than 120 classes this summer, and more than 440 classes this fall.

Academic counseling is available to assist anyone interested in attending college who is unsure about how to apply or undecided about a program of study.

Wor-Wic administers free diagnostic assessments that analyze a student’s academic strengths and weaknesses to assist in the appropriate selection of courses. Diagnostic assessments are required for most students.
