Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Forty-five Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Cynthia Costa of Allen, Teresa Anthony of Delmar, Md., Sandra Sigmund of Eden, Stephanie Bortner and Shalonda Parker of Fruitland, Tiffanie Chandler and Donald Whayland of Hebron, Meghan Preston and Jessica Weldon of Parsonsburg, Tadun Turton of Pittsville, Jonathan Pobst of Quantico, Jessica Brandt, Megan Conway, Anna Davis, Lisa Dean, Josephine Harris, Tracey Hirsch, Christine Hitch, Cheryl Hoffman, Keri Hutson, Victoria Jester, William Jones, Kathleen Likovich, Kimberly Majus, Richard Mancini, Tabatha Mansfield, Joy Maulik, Tobias Meier, Candice Smith, Adimu Sutton, Amanda Twilley, Natalie Uff and Racquel Young of Salisbury, Stacy Ennis of Sharptown, Christopher Barrett, Kathryn Danner, Virginia Gray, Melanie Metzger and Beth Reid of Berlin, Joe Colantuoni, Stefanie Minemier and Melissa Olson of Ocean City, Lauren Lubben of Pocomoke City, Jennifer Malone of Deal Island and Doris Dvorak of Princess Anne.

Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Colleen C. Dallam, human services department head and associate professor of history, Lynn M. Derickson, instructor of nursing, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Brenda J. Mister, associate professor of nursing, and Terry Thompson, assistant professor of biological science.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
