Wor-Wic Holds Virginia Tech Memorial Service

MEMORIAL BOARD. Kim Tyree of Salisbury, left, president of the Wor-Wic Community College Student Government Association (SGA), and Karen Lewis of Berlin, right, past president of SGA, helped to plan and organize a service on campus to memorialize the Virginia Tech students who recently lost their lives. The names and photos of the 32 students who were killed were displayed on maroon and orange ribbons in the college’s VT formation.

SIGNING BANNER. At an on-campus memorial service at Wor-Wic Community College, students were given the opportunity to sign a banner that will be sent to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. The banner was filled with signatures and message of support.

VT FORMATION. Nearly 100 Wor-Wic Community College students and employees gathered for a VT formation at an on-campus memorial service to remember those who were killed last week.
