Jail and Correctional Officers Graduate

Thirty-nine jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, Talbot and Kent counties graduated in the 69th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Ronald L. Howell, warden of the Kent County Detention Center.

James M. Beatty Sr., director of criminal justice at Wor-Wic, presided at the ceremony. Awards of excellence were presented by agency representatives.
