Digital Photography and Video Courses Offered in February

Learn how to enhance and restore photographs and create and edit digital video by taking courses offered by the continuing education office at Wor-Wic Community College in February.

“Adobe Photoshop – Introduction” is designed to help students learn how to work with graphics and modify digital or scanned images using tools, options, layers, levels and curves. The class will meet on Tuesdays, Feb. 7 through March 7, from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Learn to improve torn, faded, wrinkled and damaged photographs by taking “Photograph Restoration,” which is being offered on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus.

“Digital Video Editing – Introduction” is designed to help students learn to use Pinnacle Studio software to capture, store, edit and output digital video to CD, DVD or the Web. The class will meet on two Saturdays, Feb. 25 and March 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus.

Digital photography and video courses being offered online include “Digital Photography OUTPUT!,” “Discover Digital Photography,” “Introduction to Macromedia Director MX 2004,” “Photographing People with your Digital Camera,” “Photoshop Elements 3.0 for the Digital Photographer,” “Photoshop CS2 for the Digital Photographer” and “Making Movies with Windows XP.”

Each online course begins on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and can be completed in six weeks.
