Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Sixty-two Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Randie Hovatter of Delmar, Md., Richard Dailey and Lisa Polk of Hebron, Tara Clendaniel, Laura Donoway, Lisa Peek and Bobby Smith of Parsonsburg, Jessica Bailey, Kristal Kinnamon and Kathryn Nicholson of Pittsville, Lisa Aydelotte, Ashley Bailey, Elizabeth Barnes, Katie Brittingham, Charles Davis, Ashlee Edwards, Lara English, Crystal Fields, Nicole Gagnon, Stefanie Givans, Maureen Greenlees, David Jones, Jamie Kuss, Nora Lebois, Nicole McYeaton, Kara Meeks, Nancy Mills, Sarah Phillips, Jennifer Ross, Amy Sammons, Jaclyn Sander, Russell Seldon, Joshua Shores, Katherine Smith, Lindsy Stewart, Chelsea Thomas, Quyen Tran, Amanda Turner, Courtney Vickers, Michelle Watford and Robert Wilkinson of Salisbury, Stephanie Prue of Sharptown, Tracy Clowson, Sviatlana Dyson, Patti Fooks, Deborah Haines, Allison Pilat and Nancy Poret of Berlin, Heidi Kelley of Bishopville, Tara Smith of Girdletree, Alesia Kazakevich, Dustin Kruger, Leila Milewski and Daniel Taylor of Ocean City, Matthew Lawson of Crisfield, Audrey McKinley of Marion Station, Kasey Cowger, Susanne Baysinger and George King of Pocomoke City, Daniel Simmers and Carollena Williams of Princess Anne and Courtney Webster of Greenbackville, Va.

Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Colleen C. Dallam, human services department head and associate professor of history, Lynn M. Derickson, assistant professor of nursing, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Terry Thompson, assistant professor of biological science, and Jennifer L. Tusing, instructor of Spanish.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
