Register for Credit Classes at Wor-Wic
November 14, 2007

Area residents can register for spring credit classes at Wor-Wic Community College, now through Dec. 13.

Registrations are accepted Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the student services office at Wor-Wic’s campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. Those eligible for online registration can register through the student portal, which can be accessed by using the Quick Links tab on the college Web site.

In addition to the regular 14-week spring semester that begins Jan. 11, Wor-Wic offers two eight-week sessions, the first starting on Jan. 5 and the second beginning on March 8.

Additional services include career planning and diagnostic assessments. Career planning services are available to anyone undecided about a program of study. Diagnostic assessments, which cover reading comprehension, English usage and mathematics, help to determine class placement and do not affect a student’s acceptance into the college. The assessments are administered at Wor-Wic’s campus in Salisbury during the day and in the evening.

More than 400 credit classes, which can lead to an associate degree or certificate of proficiency, are being offered this spring.
