New Home Inspector Courses are Being Offered in February

Current home inspectors and anyone interested in becoming a home inspector can meet new Maryland pre-licensure and licensure requirements by taking home inspector training courses that are being offered for the first time by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The “Home Inspector – Pre-Licensure” course meets the new Maryland home inspector pre-licensure requirements. The course, which covers the basics of home inspection, including structural, interior, exterior, roofing, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, insulation and ventilation, fireplace and solid burning, and heating, will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 5 through April 10, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The “Home Inspector – Supplemental” course meets the new home inspector 16-hour supplemental training required by the state. The course is designed for practicing inspectors who are interested in becoming licensed home inspectors in Maryland. The class will meet on Saturdays, Feb. 9 and 16, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
