Job Fair to be Held April 10 at Wor-Wic

The public is invited to attend a free job fair being offered by the career services office at Wor-Wic Community College. It will be held on Thursday, April 10, from 2:30 to 6 p.m., in Room 103 of the Workforce Development Center at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

About 40 area employers are expected to attend the job fair. Some of the participating employers include the Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Ocean City Police Department, United Parcel Service and Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. Other industries that will be represented at the job fair include construction, manufacturing, accounting and telecommunications.

Participants should come dressed in interview attire and have resumés to give to interested employers.

Anyone interested in attending the job fair who needs help preparing a resumé or writing a cover letter can get free assistance from the career services office at Wor-Wic.

Free career services offered at Wor-Wic also include individual vocational counseling, access to a resource library and various computerized occupational information, career development workshops, interview preparation, job search skills and one-on-one job placement counseling. These services are available for credit and continuing education students, alumni and for anyone in the community.
