New Eight-Week Sessions Available this Fall
January 31, 2006

In the fall of 2006, Wor-Wic Community College students will have more evening education options when the college begins offering two back-to-back eight-week sessions, in addition to the regular 14-week fall semester. Three-credit lecture classes will be offered one night a week, from 5:30 to 10:40 p.m., during the new eight-week sessions.

Associate degrees in chemical dependency counseling, early childhood education and emergency medical services can be completed by taking a combination of the eight-week fall and spring sessions and the six-and-a-half-week summer sessions. Certificates of proficiency in general business and supervisory development can also be completed using the new format.

Individual classes offered during the eight-week sessions include business, chemical dependency counseling, computer studies, early childhood education, emergency medical services, English, mathematics and psychology.

Registration begins April 10 for summer and fall classes. Anyone interested in registering for classes being held in the first or second summer sessions, the first or second fall sessions or the regular 14-week fall semester should register early for the best selection of classes. Registration services are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as Mondays and Thursdays until 8 p.m.

Wor-Wic’s first summer session begins May 15. The second summer session begins July 5. The regular 14-week fall semester begins Sept. 6, while the first eight-week fall session begins Aug. 19 and the second session begins Oct. 18.
