Financial Security Course for Seniors Begins May 30 in Berlin

Current retirees or anyone planning to retire within the next two years can learn more about financial security by taking “Maintaining a Financially Secure Retirement,” which is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College. The class will meet on Fridays, May 30 through June 20, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the college’s Berlin-Ocean City Instructional Center in Berlin.

The course will cover income, reverse mortgages, Medicare and Medicaid, social security, retirement plan distributions and taxes. Estate planning, beneficiary designations and provisions for surviving spouses will also be addressed.
