New Ophthalmic Medical Assistant Course Begins Sept. 16

Learn the skills to prepare for a medical assistant career in an optometry or ophthalmology office by taking “Optical/Ophthalmic Medical Assistant Fundamentals,” which is a new course being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 16 through Nov. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Holly Center in Salisbury.

The course will cover eye anatomy and physiology, the theory of light, diseases of the eye, optical instruments and equipment, practical math applications and customer relations.
