Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Forty-two Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Jonathan Benjamin, Kristen Breidenbach, Spencer Crockett, Joseph Disharoon, Hunter Disharoon, Angela Edson, Angela Ennis, Donna Freed, Jeffrey Gale Sr., Kelly Griffin, Shelby Hairston, Oleksiy Katrysh, Christopher Leavitt, Deborah Long, Stephanie Roesch, Krystle Smith, John Trader III and Sandra Trute of Salisbury, Kimberly Bender and Sarah Chatfield of Delmar, Md., Gregory French of Fruitland, Milissa David and Ericka McCary of Parsonsburg, Kori Chaney, James Lewis Jr. and Robert Martin of Pittsville, Elvira Early of Sharptown, Jennifer Neeb, Lauren Powell, Timothy Reagin, Diana Schultz, Maria Valdez and Nichole Lami of Berlin, Ricky Scott Holland, Robert Lang III and Charles Overholt of Pocomoke City, Ramesha Briddell of Snow Hill, Corey Ward of Crisfield, Whitney Bromley, Sarah Stuckey and Wesla White of Princess Anne and Judy Forse of Delmar, Del.

Advisors of the chapter include Coleen M. Weil, assistant professor of nursing, Lynn M. Derickson, assistant professor of nursing, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Terry Thompson, assistant professor of biological science, and Jennifer L. Tusing, instructor of Spanish.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
